Like many of our readers we belong to multiple social networks like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIN, and more. While these are all great tools to help you stay connected with old friends and make new connections it can be a challenge to keep all those locations updated. We just had the chance to find and explore a new tool that can simplify and organize all these social networks into one application. The site is www.orsiso.com which stand for Organize, Simplify, Socialize which uses a new platform called SocialCraft™ which is an adaptive algorithm tool that can help you stay in contact across multiple platforms. Osiso will help you stay connected across networks like facebook, twitter,Bebo, friendster, and Flickr just to name a few. Plus you can integrate IM chat profiles like Yahoo, AOL, and MSN to be in constant contact at all times through one simple interface.

socialmediaOrSiSo has several unique features, including:

· Single status update for all networks, choose the same status or a different one for each network.

· Awesome photo album browsing and viewing

· Pop-up notifications to let you know when new information is added

· The ability to merge friends who have profiles on multiple networks into one contact

· Grouping of friends into different levels of closeness so you can filter the information that is most important to you.

All you have to do is download the software here from Orsiso.com and you will be up and running in just minutes. We are going to be testing this out over the next few months and then keep updated posts on how this new tool is progressing.

Enjoy your music with BassBoomz

The evolution of music through digital channels has changed how we purchase and listen to music. Thanks to new portable bluetooth speaker like BassBoomz we are now able to take our music and high-def sound where ever we go. Before we get into the newest piece of audio greatness we just received I wanted to put some context on how we got to this point. I found this great infographic that shows the history on how we have listened to and purchased music. Back in the day you would purchase an entire album and then have Boom BOxfriends come over to listen on your stereo. Music became more portable through the introduction of CD’s where we had portable yet limited sound quality players. BoomBoxes became more popular and they started to range in size in and features. When the iPod was introduced this changed the game and would enable consumers to demand more choices and better quality. Where we buy and listen to music has drastically changed and now we are sharing songs across many of the social network sites and there are even specific sites that allow you to share music with like minded people.

While all this sharing and mobility of music has been great for the consumer, having the ability to listen to your newest tunes in high quality sound without the need to have wires and a large device has been lacking. There are more and more bluetooth devices that have entered the market and they range in price and quality. That is why I was interested in trying out the new BassBoomz from the makers of BassBuds earphones. I have a pair of their earphones and the clarity and quality that they produce is very good. I got my metallic blue BazzBoomz and at first I was wondering how this small device was going to measure up to my current JamBox that I use. Once I received the package I had about three seconds to look at it before my three kids swept it away to link up to their iPod touch and test it out. They had it setup in about minute and were blasting the newest single from Gotye. This small blue cylinder produced sound that could be hear from our basement and the clarity and tones where very impressive. I have listed their exact specs below. Without a doubt I can recommend to anyone looking to get a new bluetooth speaker for their iPod, iPad, or any other bluetooth enabled device and want great sound then look at the latest offering from BassBoomz. If you act now they are offering $46 off the US retail price by using the following code: BBZ017532

Using email newsletters to help build your reach

Mad Mimi Email Many websites and blogs miss the chance to interact with their customers by capturing their email and then using this for a way to interact with and update their customers on their brand and products. More and more companies are creating educational email newsletters that are meant just to interact with their readers and not sell them something. Many companies have jumped into the social media space and hope that by creating a Facebook page this will drive customers to their site. The term social media marketing has taken on various definitions and those selling those services have touted them as the only way to advertise and interact with customers.

You can create email newsletters that include links back to your social network profile and help build a long-term engagement for your blog or business. With the appropriate email marketing solutions from leading providers like Mad Mimi email newsletters you can grow your business in multiple channels and create value through email that your customer will want to open and read. I have several companies that I partner with that use email newsletters to send out communications and they always look very professional and packed with useful information. You must first develop a plan to gain permission from your customers to converse with them through email and then, above all else, do not abuse the privilege. Offer value whenever you do send them something and tie in your Facebook or Twitter page in the body of the email for ways to stay in touch with your company. Used together, these tools can help you grow and maintain long term relationships with your customers

SEO Guide Part 2 Link Building BluePrint for 2013:

In our readings on important updates for 2013 SEO guidelines we have been seeing more and more discussions on areas to stay away from when it comes to keeping your site healthy. The makers of SEO Powersuite have put together a Link Building Blue print for 2013 that talks about the 5 things you must avoid and include in your strategy. We have started to implement SEO PowerSuite tools to help us monitor and reshape our strategies and can say it has been quite effective. They have just released their SEO guide Part 2 on things to watch out for in 2013 when it comes to SEO and SEM. Below is a quick excerpt where they discuss the value of social signals and how you can manage those across multiple resources.

What’s coming: It’s not a secret that search engines are willing to deliver the most useful and interesting content to users. How are they going to measure what’s more or less interesting? One of the very significant factors they may rely on even more in 2013 is the amount and strength of social signals – tweets and retweets, Facebook likes, shares, mentions, etc.

Now, going back to your backlink profile, can you say that most of the domains linking to your site are socially popular? And what about your competitors?

Get prepared Get prepared: Analyze social signals for your backlink domains — which ones get most social “love” from users? Highlight these websites and work more to get backlinks from there.

To quickly get the social data for all your backlink domains, create a project in SEO SpyGlass; then go to Preferences => Preferred Backlink Factors and select those social media factors that are most important for your niche…. read more here.

SEO Link Building

You must be able to look at and know what your competitors are doing and how they are using backlinks in order to gain top positions in the search engines. At Link Assistant they have developed some great tools to help you easily and effectively monitor and manage your sites along with those that you are competing against.

What’s coming: Google has revolutionized link building practices, but some things remain the same – the competition analysis is going to be even more complicated and important in the post-Penguin era.

Get preparedGet prepared: Discover and analyze backlink profiles of your top competitors:

  • What anchors and keywords the competing sites are using?
  • Do they still acquire sitewide links?
  • Are they leveraging social media to rank better than you?
  • Do they have most backlinks from old or new domains?

Important: You shouldn’t blindly follow the steps of competitors, define the tendencies and trends of their link building process and make use of it, for instance:

  • Pay attention to the anchor text distribution, you may also need to have more anchor text with brand names and less with exact match keywords. You may also need to have more links pointing to internal pages of your site (as opposed to the home page)

  • If your competitors are more active in social media, produce more viral content, start social media campaigns, launch contests – do virtually everything you can to grab more tweets and likes.

  • Take a closer look at their backlink domains, spot the good ones (relevant content, old established domain with high Alexa traffic index) and target them to get links… read more

Your Website’s SEO should not be Sending out an SOS

Your Website’s SEO should not be Sending out an SOS

If you have ever shopped around for a website developer who can build you a product and provide SEO (search engine optimization), you probably ran away in terror, as the cost of doing this through an independent designer easily runs into the thousands. But there are some ways around this. There are free websites out there that are actually good quality options. When you search for a no cost web sitethere are some things you will want to take into account to make sure you aren’t “getting what you pay for”—nothing. The same goes for SEO. What with the new regulations enforced by Google, SEO has transformed into a different kind of animal than what we all knew 6 months ago. Now a day you run the risk of having Google boot your site off for things you could get away with in the past. And then there are those other SEO options that cost lots of money. This article will address some key points and things to consider when it comes to finding a good free website, as well as ways to do SEO without writing a check.

Free Website

There are many companies out there that offer free versions of their websites, but not all websites are equal. Here are some things to consider when looking for that winner:

·      Does the free website have adverts pasted in the body? Often free websites do this because it is how they make money. Look for one that tastefully places a single advert at the dead bottom of your website where it won’t stick out like a mess.

·      Avoid using a company that relies on cookie-cutter templates and outdated looks. Find something modern and unique that was designed by a professional.

·      Does the website company offer a paid, upgradable version? You will want this. Often, free websites will not be compatible with SEO efforts, but this is fine. Using a free website is a great way for you to test the waters and get a feel for the company. After all, they are offering you a free product as a way to earn your business, versus flat-out asking for it without giving anything to build trust. Make sure the paid sites are affordable, and offer lots of bells and whistles.

·      Is there a customer support center that responds to your questions within 24 hours?

By demanding these features, you will be working with a quality product at no cost to you, but that delivers with a huge return.

FREE SEO

Forget hiring someone who will bleed your pockets dry. There are lots of things you can do on your own to optimize your website. In an article published by Webconfs.com, a number of things you can do to optimize your website are laid out on the table. First, optimize your site for the search engines. You can do this by incorporating inbound links to your site from others. This will make it more likely that online searchers will find you. Another thing you can do is frequently update the content on your website. Blogging is a great way to do this. Also, link up with other sites that share your niche. And last but not least, link up with Twitter and Facebook. Facebook has over a billion monthly users and some studies seem to suggest that Facebook brings more business to companies than Google does.

No Need to Waive that White Flag

By taking these SEO considerations to heart, and by implementing them into a free website (or one that sprouts from the free platform) you will be well on your journey to get out there, and be heard. If you are willing to put in the minimal amount of time required to do these things, you will save a small fortune, yet get thousand dollar results.

BuzzBundle – A new Social Media Analytics tool

We have been researching the web for various social media marketing tools and noticed that there are more and more new entrants into the market. With the recent changes in the Google search engine the emphasis on content experts or authorship and your social graph is becoming more and more important. It was easy enough as a company or brand to simply put up some Facebook, twitter, and Pinterest pages and then connect with your customers and look to drive new discussions and hopefully this will lead to more sales. With this widespread social marketing reach companies give up some control of their brand and the discussions and this is why social marketing tools like BuzzBundle are essential to almost every business doing any type of marketing on the internet. We are going to create a series of posts based on our review of the product along with showcasing specific features. The setup of the software is quite simple:

  1. Enter main website (The software will then find all mentions of your URL in various social networks, blogs, and other websites)
  2. Enter keywords that you  would like to monitor about your brand. This will enable you to see if your company is being mentioned in these conversations and if not ways to comment or get involved in the conversation. (Very Cool feature)
  3. Enter your social marketing profile pages from Facebook, Google +, Twitter, Pinterest, and so on…

What are others saying about your business:

With this social media analytics tool you can search websites, blogs, and other social networks and find out where the conversations are happening about your brand or website. This will enable to see where your customers are talking about your company and brand and get involved in the conversation. This is a valuable piece of the tool which will enable you to understand the areas of interest of your social marketing brand and where you need to enhance the conversation.

This is a great way to split test a brand campaign and see what response you get from your customers and competitors.
